Meet Mary - Therapist
“The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step” (Lao Tzu).
Whether your journey is one of loss, transition, or simply learning to manage thoughts and feelings better, my job is to help you identify and take the next steps toward your wellness goals.
My particular passion lies in helping women navigate grief. I also have experience helping adults and teens manage depression, anxiety, and other challenges.
My approach to therapy is acceptance-based & mindfulness-informed. Sometimes this looks like careful examination of thoughts (CBT). Sometimes it looks like a reassessment of relationship patterns (IPT/EFT). Often, it's simply allowing space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a compassionate, judgment-free environment.
One of my favorite ways to help clients is to get them outdoors! I offer “walk-and-talk,” nature-based, and animal-assisted treatment options and am happy to explore those options with you, if you’re interested.
If any of this resonates with you, or if there is anything else getting in the way of your mental, emotional, or spiritual health that you would like to discuss, please give me a call. I'd love to help you identify your next steps toward whatever your goals may be. I am currently supervised by Kierra Loyd LCSW.
